Gable Facade?

I feel like I asked this before but cannot find the answer. What do you call this gable protrusion above the roof line?

It's still a parapet.  At the end of a building it's a 'gable parapet' aka Dutch gable.

One could get away with calling it a pediment https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pediment .

I'd call it a f*****g mess.
