Rusted Furnace Exhaust Discharges Into Attic

Sometimes it pays off to crawl through a shallow attic to the other end.

Ya know, there's drones for low crawlspaces and for high roofs but none for attics.  How long before someone invents one?  Not that I like them.  They don't fit anywhere in SOPs.

Great find but be careful. The liability of putting your foot through a ceiling may far outweigh the inspection fee you are charging.

No to sound like a smart ass, but the liability of not reporting the furnace / water heater exhausting into the attic far outweighs some drywall damage.  People die from leaking furnace exhaust.  Besides, I'm always careful.

And right next to a big opening where the combustion gases can sink into the living area, though I'd bet they rise a bit until they cool off.
