Mike Lamb Posted February 12, 2019 Report Posted February 12, 2019 Does anyone have a drawing from a reputable source detailing flashing/weeps at structural floors? IRC 1405.4.2 Masonry. Flashing and weep holes in anchored veneer shall be located in the first course of masonry above finished ground level above the foundation wall or slab, and other points of support, including structural floors, shelf angles and lintels where anchored veneers are designed in accordance with Section 1405.6.
RK52 Posted February 13, 2019 Report Posted February 13, 2019 (edited) Not sure if this helps, but figure 1 references this, and the article itself discusses aesthetic considerations of second and higher floor flashings. Detailed drawings on page 2 of 3. https://www.constructionspecifier.com/aesthetics-versus-function-resolving-issues-with-exposed-drip-edge-flashing-on-masonry-walls/ Edited February 14, 2019 by RK52
Jim Baird Posted February 14, 2019 Report Posted February 14, 2019 Don't have the link but section details are posted on the Brick Institute of America site.

Mike Lamb Posted February 14, 2019 Author Report Posted February 14, 2019 Thanks all. I still don't see any specific drawings relating directly to flashing details at a floor intersection for a wood frame home with brick veneer.
RK52 Posted February 14, 2019 Report Posted February 14, 2019 I’m thinking it is the same as near the base of the wall where flashing might be used. This page shows a through-wall flashing details adjacent to floor joists. By the text, it looks to me that the flashing method is to be repeated at each floor level. Figs. 2, 5 & 8 present examples that may apply.
