Whalen68 Posted January 19, 2018 Report Posted January 19, 2018 I have a Kenmore electric dryer (model # 110.66922500). Motor runs but it is not heating. I replaced thermal fuse and heating element. No improvement. I appreciate any help.
Marc Posted January 19, 2018 Report Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) Besides the thermal fuse are the timer switch, operating thermostat and high-limit switches. Sometimes there are more than one thermal fuse. You'll need a voltmeter to isolate the point where voltage is lost. A professional should do it. Edited January 19, 2018 by Marc
John Kogel Posted January 19, 2018 Report Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) Timer switch is a suspect. One more switch - the door switch. But the motor runs, so it is not that. Check your old parts to see if one was faulty, measure for continuity with a DMM. Then you will know if you got wires crossed or loose n your repair. Edited January 19, 2018 by John Kogel
inspector57 Posted January 19, 2018 Report Posted January 19, 2018 Start with simple things, check for adequate power first. Some dryers will run the motor even if one leg of the power supply is tripped or fuse blown.
