Jim Baird Posted August 2, 2017 Report Posted August 2, 2017 I think I set a personal record with this one. Who here has stooped so low?
Tom Raymond Posted August 2, 2017 Report Posted August 2, 2017 It's fairly common for exterior crawl hatches to be 32x16 or 32x14 steel hopper windows here. At 6'2 and 235 it's a tight fit but I get through. The lowest crawl I was ever in was 12-14" below joists. Not fun.
RK52 Posted August 12, 2017 Report Posted August 12, 2017 (edited) 11" inches? That a helluva fit. I've not gone through an entrance that tight, but I've slithered under water pipes that brushed my chest rather snugly. I think you get points for that one. Did you drag much with you into that space? Edited August 12, 2017 by RK52
John Kogel Posted August 13, 2017 Report Posted August 13, 2017 Piece of cake for Jim. Past the hatch, it widens to 14" so he was able to breath that lovely dust. You'all have Hanta virus down there, so a dust mask is pretty important. Other than that, I'd have a screwdriver, camera and a light. Lost a few screwdrivers that way.
Bill Kibbel Posted August 13, 2017 Report Posted August 13, 2017 Dust mask won't block Hantavirus. Need a respirator with P-100 filters.
