Leighton Jantz Posted December 16, 2016 Report Posted December 16, 2016 I've already tried Building Intelligence Center, no luck. It's made in Canada, serial #B 0089151, first time I've come across a Gemco. Also there was no date stamped on lever of TPRV.
Bill Kibbel Posted December 16, 2016 Report Posted December 16, 2016 It looks like the same format as Kenmore which is a letter followed by 7 or 8 digits. the 2 digits after the letter are the year. 00 = 2000 You can confirm with the date stamped inside the TP relief valve handle.
Leighton Jantz Posted December 16, 2016 Author Report Posted December 16, 2016 OP- no date on TPRV handle, the 00 I was guessing that also but there was another sticker on the tank about "complies to CSA 2006 standards". Yes I'm kicking myself for not getting more pics! I know I'll hear it from the brethren.
cyrus799 Posted May 20, 2023 Report Posted May 20, 2023 The year and week of manufacture are shown by the serial number, making it quick and simple to determine the age of a water heater. This information is printed on the manufacturer's label that is attached to the unit's body.
