7 outlets were accessed and out of the 7 outlets only 2 were correctly

grounded. All others had an open ground. Also there were no GFI outlets

installed. However there was 1 GFI breaker in the panel, but with no labeling

it is unknown if this is for the bathrooms, the kitchen or what it is trying to

protect. Also with this being a 2 wire system with 3 prong outlets installed

this would most likely not work properly even if installed. Contact licensed

electrician to evaluate the entire system and repair as needed.

One of many inspection report issues...

...a class in technical writing might help, but better writing does not clear up murky thought.

I'm not so sure. I think that the two go hand-in-hand. Improving one often improves the other.

I think 5 years of membership at TIJ could improve an inspector's writing more than any existing course in anything.

Our industry is mostly 'Undiscovered Country'.

The house sale fell, and the electrical "issues" were one of the reasons the buyer bailed (he's my brother's renter right now). My brother sent me the report to see what he needed to do......

I might contact the inspector and gently suggest some additional training.
