Mitsubishi split age

I have a Mitsubishi Split heat pump set up. Photo of label attached.

The charts I have say that it's digits two through five yyww.

so the serial number 3002598 would be the 25th week of 2000.

The unit looks five years old, not 16 years old.

Anyone heard of any other methods?

3002598T - The first digit is the year.

That unit was manufactured in 2003 or 2013.

The remaining numbers are the serial #.

T = manufactured in Thailand.

Looks like Mitsubishi first started using R-410A in 2006.

Call them. You have to call to get the interior unit age any way.
