oikospastor Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 I've been reading old post on the subject and have questions. I have found white powder on my indoor heating unit vent that leads to the ceiling. I just checked it and it rained a few days ago so I can't be sure if its a roof leak causing this or vent issues. Robert Jones Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 It's being caused by condensation due to poor ventilation. Basically an acidic reaction with the galvanized flue material.
dennispalmer Posted July 19, 2018 Report Posted July 19, 2018 The basic reason behind the white powder on indoor heating vent is high humidity level.
