kurt Posted August 30, 2016 Report Posted August 30, 2016 I have it on good authority from an advanced degree aeronautical engineer that it's both and it doesn't matter anyway. It's something they argue about like HI's and evaporative cooling processes.

Erby Posted August 30, 2016 Report Posted August 30, 2016 Hah, which came first - the chicken or the egg? I don't really care as long as my clients aren't calling me back a few days after they start using the tub or shower whining about a leak I didn't find. Could I have found that without an IR Camera? Nope. No stains or wetness on the drywall. Would I have been liable for it? Shouldn't have been because it's something I couldn't readily see during a visual home inspection. They would still be whining about it. I'm happy with it and that, to me, is all that really counts!
Jim Katen Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 . . . I'm happy with it and that, to me, is all that really counts! Or is it the lack of sadness that counts? 1
Chad Fabry Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 . . . I'm happy with it and that, to me, is all that really counts! Or is it the lack of sadness that counts? ...and that is why I keep coming back.
Mike Lamb Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 If it's moisture you are looking for and that is what I am looking for primarily with these tools, the moisture meter is the word. Get a good moisture meter. I consider the lower res IR which I own to be more or less fluff.
kurt Posted August 31, 2016 Report Posted August 31, 2016 Or is it the lack of sadness that counts? Good line. 1
Erby Posted September 1, 2016 Report Posted September 1, 2016 Is there really cold, or just the absence of heat? You're a funny guy with a good line, Jim.
Mike Lamb Posted September 8, 2016 Report Posted September 8, 2016 The wires were scorched so I knew there was a problem, but running the AC and taking TI pics gives the problem (and report) more curb appeal. Click to Enlarge 60.28 KB Click to Enlarge 85.69 KB Click to Enlarge 68.98 KB
Jim Katen Posted September 8, 2016 Report Posted September 8, 2016 I understand its benefit in this case, but, man, that's a crappy IR image. 1
