John Dirks Jr
This patio stone is caulked to and covers almost three courses of hardie plank. Looks like trouble to me. I know hardie is tough but could this trap water against the wall and cause damage to the siding or structure? kurt
The recurring theme in Hardie specs is clearance. That stuff is buried. It's way wrong.

Darren
Depending on the height and length, don't forget the additional weight/pressure against the foundation. i had one that was about 4 foot high and the entire length of the house that was causing foundation problems.
