If they are bees you will have a mess with the honey?? If they are bees you need to remove the comb otherwise it will rot and ferment in the wall?

Bees was a poor choice of words. They are yellow jackets.

Maybe it was the old queen hanging around the entrance. It was definitely a queen though.
