kurt Posted August 11, 2015 Report Share Posted August 11, 2015 No plan to it. Chicago has a lot of these sorts of goofy meter placements. Old houses, built before gas service, gas arrives during the Depression so run the pipe in somewhere and place the meters wherever they'd fit, then move them around during some weird Depression era remodeling to turn the old frame house into a 2 flat or similar rental.
