I an all Corten corrugated steel house a number of years ago.. the material itself is very very admirable... the devil was in the details of fasteners and such...I've often thought that 'steel houses' are really the future..

What's the bleck? Barn panels look cool if integrated into the design.

That's the problem. No design. No trim. Just steel and J channel. Bleck.

I call this tiny post war Cape Steel. Except for the bold color it epitomizes the steel craze here.

All manner of things get covered like this, usually in shades of grey or beige. 150+ year old farm houses, capes, rambling ranches, historic brick storefronts, even churches. Hell, there's a second empire vic down the street with electric blue barn steel on the tops of the mansard.

I like steel. I'm planning a shed work shop for my yard and I'm thinking of cladding it in shiplap, shingles and galvalume.
