John Kogel
This 5 year old Rheem electric furnace (giant toaster) had a normal thermostat that works. That is it works with a fresh pair of AA's from my tool bag, another goofy design. Besides the low voltage line entering the bottom of the cabinet from the thermostat I think, there is a second low voltage line into the top side that has been purposely disconnected. What would that be for? It terminates on a circuit board. Jim Katen
It would have been used to control a damper at the fresh air duct, which has since been removed or disconnected.
