Les Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 To all Inspectors and Lurkers, Take a minute today and tommorrow to give thanks for all the "things" we have. Some of us don't have as many "things" as last year, but we are still here. Don't forget to be thankful for all our military, regardless of your politics. I am thankful for my family and friends and all the help I've received this year and thankful for a few little ways I was able to help others. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
Jim Baird Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Amen, Brother. As for military, every soldier is a hero. The same can't necessarily be said for civilian leadership.
monte Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Everyone have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING, I will be helping the wife serve about 140 people, who are shut-in (I am one of ten drivers for there meal)
chrisprickett Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 I am first an foremost thankful for the health of my children. We had a very close call with my 8 year last week, so that really sticks out as a priority. I am also thankful for the people that God has put in my life.
BlackJack Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world. If you attend a church or synagogue without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world. If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, especially in the United States. If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not. If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch. If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all. You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.
paul burrell Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 Happy Thanksgiving to all. And at the risk of incurring the wrath of the ACLU I wish all a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a prosperous happy new year. Paul Burrell
kurt Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 All good thoughts. I'll just get in w/all of them & hope everyone has a good holiday. Especially the kids.
Brian G Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 Best wishes to all. I'll stick my usual thankfulness for being lucky enough to be born in America to family that cares. Short of being stinking rich, those two things alone put me in the top 2% of the most fortunate people alive. Brian G. Rich in All But Money [:-angel]
Scottpat Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 And No Les we don't stuff our turkey with Grits! That would be a shameful misuse of the Grits! A Big Southern HAPPY THANKSGIVING from the Patterson household.

Remember, honor, and thank our military who are serving all over the world. Let us lift a glass for those folks doing the heavy lifting.
