mjr6550
I think this was the most unique valley I have ever seen. This was a recently completed addition. Many other things were just as bad. Jim Baird
...grammar police remind us that "unique" means "one-of-a-kind", ergo has no qualifiers, no mores or lesses. Re the valley, it is so subtle. The roofer had to be very intuitive in his shingle direction. Don't suppose it might leak above that camelback in the middle. Tom Raymond
Do you know how to get a roofer to warranty that valley? Unique up on him.
Erby
Didn't think you were supposed to weave the thicker shingles?
John Kogel
That would leak here. Not enough slope either.

Mike Lamb
This might be OK if everything beneath has an ice and water shield. Any signs of leaks?
mjr6550
There are no signs of leaks, but it is only about 1 year old and this roof was framed over the main roof. The whole thing needs to come off. The story is that the original contractor did so many things wrong on the addition (including putting asphalt shingles on an about 1:12 pitch roof on another part of the addition) that he was kicked off the job. The owner hired Lowes to finish the addition and they agreed to make any necessary corrections. They seem to have only added to the problems. Here is another fine detail from the same house.
