greyboy39 Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 Noticed deteriorating paint in the firebox of a natural gas prefab insert today, no signs of any rust. Do you report this condition? If so why? Thanks! Click to Enlarge 26.44 KB Click to Enlarge 32.8 KB
Marc Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 I see no solid reason to report it. Every house I've ever seen has something much more worthy of the client's ear. Marc
Scottpat Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 If that is all you are seeing I would not note it.
greyboy39 Posted April 9, 2015 Author Report Posted April 9, 2015 Thanks guys for your responses, didn't know if this would indicate a failure or eventaul failure of the firebox in some way, shape or form. Yes, there are many other things on this one worthy of the clients ear.

Scott, your reply 'appears to be servicable'. [] I call that a metal fireplace in good condition. Maybe. I would only be reporting on how well the flame comes on if it operates at all.
