ductwork Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 In the below picture, support in another crawlspace, is this strap sufficient, should it wrap around the entire beam ? Also the support is not centered ? Click to Enlarge 33.52 KB
Tom Raymond Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 That steel lally is going to hurt someone when it falls over. I have no idea what the strap is doing, need a better pic.
Marc Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 Tom is on spot. Until we know what the role of this junction is, the part number of the hardware and the install specs for that part number, any opinion is just a swag. Generally, if that part number is specified for that location then the manufacturer will specify that each nail hole have a specified nail in it. Marc

Erby Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 You need some work on your picture taking. Get a more distant shot that shows the whole thing / area then a shot that focuses in on what you're asking about. Did that first picture in your last post get whacked in the upload process. Makes no sense to me. Second one looks to be a concrete block stacked on some bricks that are sinking into the mud but what is it supposed to be holding up, i.e. overall shot.
