kurt
OK, I lost my chart. What's the max flue length for Category 3 furnaces? I've got one about 37' w/4 90's, & I think it's wrong, but don't have the spec. Anyone?
Bill Kibbel
Be advised I'm only replying because no one else has. I'm the least qualified to comment since a majority of the buildings I'm in have oil fired boilers. I'll assume that "flue" length is referring to what we call vent connectors. I believe cat. I connector length can be 75% of the height of the chimney. If said connector is "B" vent, it can be 100% of the chimney height. Cat. II, III & IV vent connector length should be specified by the manufacturer of the furnace. Could your lost chart be from a manufacturer?
kurt
Thanks Bill. I've been reeducating myself on this one, & I think I've got it covered. Yes, the mfg. had the spec.; it just took me a while to find.
hausdok
Yeah, That's why I didn't respond. I was thinking of the exact rule that Bill mentions. I figured I'd sit back and see if anyone had an actual length chart somewhere that I'd never seen before. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
