Jim Baird Posted January 22, 2015 Report Posted January 22, 2015 ...very creative. Wonder what catches that focused stream that is like, as we say down South, like a cow p*ssing on a flat rock? Also, the tortured cut and place of those siding pieces above the roof surface, if that is hardi-type siding, is not allowing quite the recommended 3/4" clearance.
Mike Lamb Posted January 22, 2015 Author Report Posted January 22, 2015 3/4"? The HardiePlank specs I got have a 2" clearance from the roof, a kick-out flashing where the roof terminates, and a 1" gutter clearance from side wall.
Tom Raymond Posted January 22, 2015 Report Posted January 22, 2015 If they held it 1" off the wall those gutters would be too short to accommodate the hidden hangers.
Inspectorjoe Posted January 22, 2015 Report Posted January 22, 2015 They were obviously too cheap to spring for a truly hideous solution: Click to Enlarge 16.56 KB
Erby Posted January 22, 2015 Report Posted January 22, 2015 C'mon Jim. That focused stream is caught on a flat rock!
