jmorris327 Posted January 9, 2015 Report Posted January 9, 2015 What's the best continuous radon monitor for a radon measuring contractor to purchase?
Mark P Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 You might considering leasing. Radalink and Radstar have great devices. A lot of people use Sun Nuclear 1027 devices, but I'm an equipment snob and don't like them.
Jim Katen Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 What's the best continuous radon monitor for a radon measuring contractor to purchase? Define "best."
jmorris327 Posted January 10, 2015 Author Report Posted January 10, 2015 Best - accurate continuous radon monitor for the money. Taking in to account user friendliness and nontampering features.
Scottpat Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 It really depends on how much you want to invest. Most folks use units that are between $600 and $1200. I like Femo-Tech units.... http://www.femto-tech.com/510LP.html They are in the $4k+ range. I have two of them but I also have a few Sun Nuclear units that work relatively well and I use them, but they have a pretty high margin of error when compared to the higher price units.
Charlie R Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 The Sun Nuclear 1030 is a reliable unit, has some good features, about 1200.00, better sensitivity than the lower numbered Sun models.
