greyboy39 Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 Came across this today and know it's wrong, however what would be the code reference? Click to Enlarge 32.46 KB
Jim Katen Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 Well, the first thing that comes to mind is that the plug is not listed for use with NM cable. 110.3(B) The cable does not "closely follow the surface of the building finish" 334.15(A). The cable is not "protected from physical damage" 334.15(B) In fact, I'd say that the use of the plug makes physical damage more likely as the cable's solid conductors are forced to bend back & forth each time the plug is inserted and withdrawn from the receptacle. The installation also does nothing to prevent the cable from bending at a radius of less than five times its diameter. 334.24.
greyboy39 Posted May 2, 2014 Author Report Posted May 2, 2014 Thanks Jim any one of those definetly suffice, appreciate it.
