mdramis Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Ok There is a lot here so I will just give you the pics and wait for the bombardment. Yes this was all in one inspection at a 1962 house. Overall not bad but lots of electrical problems. The original aluminum wiring had been bypassed through the sub panel there was no ground rod to the house and some outlets tested open ground and some tested ok. The A/C cut off well I got blisters on my fingers by the time I was done typeing. Brian G Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Most of that looks like typical crummy old wiring, but I've never seen a service entrance rig like that mast photo before. Have you got another pic from a little farther back? [:-bigeyes Brian G. Confucious Say "He Who Thinks He Has Seen It All, Is Not Home Inspector." [:-magnify
mdramis Posted October 23, 2005 Author Report Posted October 23, 2005 No thats all the pics I got but I can tell you it looked like somebody just taped the wires together. My client was on the roof with me and I advised him not to get too close and to consult and electrician to evaluate the entire electrical system
