Marc Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Does anyone do this? Clients are beginning to request it. I have Square but, as far as I know they don't accept payments online. Marc
Jerry Simon Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I do mine through paypal; there's a link at the bottom of my home web page/
Tim Maxwell Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 https://payments.intuit.com/ Online or phone swipe with intuit.
kurt Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Square does online. You need the 3 number code on the back and the zip code where the card mailing address is. I do it all the time. It's a slightly higher rate, I think 3 3/4%.
Marc Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks fellas. Kurt, how do I set it up on my website? I can't find the instructions at Square. Marc
kurt Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 You take the information verbally. I don't know if they have a user directed way to do it.
Marc Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 I've found a way to set up items on Square Dashboard, still trying to get it up and running. Supposedly, a client can go to Square Market, enter the agreed amount and his card data and make a payment. I've clients out-of-state that ask how to pay at my site. Marc
Scottpat Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 If you have Quickbooks it offers a neat billing and payment feature. If you send an invoice or a statement via email it goes with an active link that the client can click on. It then takes them to the Intuit website where they can pay the invoice with an electronic check. This cost me fifty cents(.50) no matter the amount. The money is sent directly to my bank account within 24 hours. Marc, it sounds like your person does not want to give you their credit card information. I would tell them that you do not have a way for them to input their information directly from your website. I use Square but have never tried The Square Market, sorry I can't help ya...
Mark P Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I too use paypal and have been happy with it. I have a link on my web or I can swipe the card on my I-phone. 2.5%
