Furnace Age

I am having trouble with exact age of American Standard S# Z102Y6R10. the last digit might be a G.

It has a 1993 ANSI date. I think this uses Trane #s which dates 2001 which doesn't seem right.

Thanks, Nolan. That is my first stop for appliance ages but nothing matched up.

I guess it's 2001 like Trane says but usually the manufacture date and the ANSI date are only a few years off (not like with water heaters).

There are often only a few years off, but sometimes many years difference. I never rely on the ANSI date.

I think the first digit was a 2 and you wrote down Z - Furnace built 21st week of 2001.

Picture shows pretty clear Z as the first character.
