Steven Hockstein Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 This has been a tough few weeks for us in NJ. A few weeks ago the NJ ALPHI president, Joe Wehrhahn, passed away suddenly. On Tuesday, Pat Porzio, past ASHI president and NJ-ALPHI president, passed away. Along with being friends to many of us, they were both long time advocates for our profession and selflessly volunteered their time to ASHI and NJ-ALPHI. They will be missed. Condolences to their families. R.I.P.
Les Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 I did not know Joe, but had heard of him. I did know Pat and he was really one of the nice guys, while being very knowledgeable. These guys blazed trails we all follow. There are only a handful of old guys left, so if you know one take the time to learn from them. They are gone too soon.
kurt Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Yeah, Pat was cool. Only met him once, a long time ago. Good guy.
Scottpat Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Joe, Pat and Cole just in the first month of 2014.. Peace be with all of their loved ones.
allseason Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 Pat was a pisser. He'll be missed. He was a real cornerstone in NJ ALPHI.
