They poured a few concrete piers and started building without any real engineering for the foundation. Big rush to create housing for factory workers.

Foundation? It didn't even look like it had a foundation.

All in all, it stayed amazingly intact.

They worry about it. A lot. I know some people in a village where a building went over.

As I recall, there was a guy on a lower floor doing punch-out. He survived.

Yeah, I didn't realize the story was four years old when I posted it.

That's one incredibly skinny building. Not much margin for error with an engineering screwup.
