Thanks, Welly, for starting this thread. [:)]

A meet somewhere between Illinois and the Eastern seaboard? Maybe some of us could attend by Skype?

Topic of discussion is let me see if I got it, "What is a home inspector?"

I like the concept.

Rather 'How many topics can you think of ?'

Use the meet to build a working syllabus of the curriculum then go home and start with a few lessons at a time, sharing them for rev...ok, I'll shut up.

Marc, I am flattered that you remember!

The focus should be inspector education.

The holidays will get in the way for immediate action, but I will post another thread.

Garet, your comments is exactly why a meeting would be important and fun. We know each other as being different but good home inspectors.

There is a core group of like thinking folks right here on TIJ. I am blessed to know many personally and several at a friendly personal level. All ideas will be addressed. Now I sound like John Banner (Sgt Schultz).

I'm in for a get together meeting... Perhaps we could make it into an event similar to what was held at the Watts plant a few years back. When was that, 2005?

that was fun!

I forget when we all got together @ Watts. I thought it was more like 8-10 years ago.

Find a building component mfg. that would let us tour the plant or otherwise learn something from them, and let's have it in their town. Like the Watts gig.

I wasn't there. That was before my time. Just kept the picture.

I would also be interested.

Just saw the new thread on education on Facebook, and remembered water furnace brand Geo thermal units are made in Ft. Wayne Indiana.

I'd be in and bet (just a little tiny bit) that Ben Hendricks and John Bain would be too.

Do we really want to let John know? Loki, maybe!

Hah! Too late! The secret is out. We would LOVE to come, and I promise to maintain control and not embarrass anyone.
