MPdesign Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Here is an easy one. What are your thoughts on split system control wiring which is wire nutted together about 2 feet from the CU - exposed to rain and outside conditions.
Neal Lewis Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Low voltage wiring at the A/C condenser? Is that the question? Exposed to damage, etc but I wouldn't have too much of a problem with it.
MPdesign Posted October 16, 2013 Author Report Posted October 16, 2013 Yes - that is it - low voltage condensing unit control wiring. I don't usually call that out - but this site has so much that I thought that I should get some additional opinions.
Marc Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 They'll corrode badly and eventually result in an expensive service call. I doubt those wire nuts are listed for outdoor use but who cares..it's only 24 VAC Marc
