OSB Edge clips

They removed a shake roof and installed OSB on the 1x4 sheathing on the rafters. Do they need to install edge clips for the OSB in this instance? They installed OSB sheathing edges butted up to one another.

Depends. Which direction does the long edge of the OSB sheathing go? Sideways or up/down?

That document is a good example of how things in the real world don't measure up. Has anyone ever seen panels set up on edge and spaced to acclimate for a few days? At best a stack of panels may sit in the front yard for a few days before they are installed.
