Steven Hockstein Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 A little off topic but still relates to TV's.. My father told me about one of his friends that owned a TV repair shop in the 1960's. He did not want to pay to dispose of the broken TV's that were beyond repair. He would periodically bring his easily identified TV repair van to Newark and leave it open when he went into a diner for lunch. When he came out after lunch he found an empty van. Not sure if the story is one of those friend of a friend type storied but I found it entertaining.
John Dirks Jr Posted October 9, 2013 Author Report Posted October 9, 2013 Well done John and you got the new one too? I bought a new TV right away. Subsequently, the claim I filed for the damaged TV was honored by Allstate.
