Jerry Simon Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 A lower branch circuit in a sub-panel exits the sub-panel and enters the adjacent main panel through the pipe that connects the panels, same pipe containing the feeders for the sub-panel. Something tells me this isn't correct??? Click to Enlarge 20.47 KB
John Kogel Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 I would call that out as an amateur installation. But I can be wrong because some AHJ somewhere might have his own rule book. You are in Illinois where the rules for conduit prevail. One more thing, it might be covered by a permit for the subpanel, and if performed by an electrician, around here, that makes it good.
Jerry Simon Posted July 2, 2013 Author Report Posted July 2, 2013 Not an NEC issue. Thanks, Jim. Looked odd, though.
