John Kogel Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 This is a century old building in a town near here. If I was to inspect it, I would tell the owner to get the roof drainage issues repaired pronto. I have a question for Bill or other experts - Is or was it acceptable practice to lay these blocks on their sides as was done here? Bill Kibbel Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 yup. See the answer in the last post (#7) in this thread: https://www.inspectorsjournal.com/forum ... C_ID=14192 The blocks in your pictures are quite well-preserved, considering the manufacturer of those blocks intended them to be rendered (stuccoed) when exposed to the exterior. Tom Raymond Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 I like that last pic John. It looks like one of Lamb's compositions.
