But I'm thinking that with insects in the lawn, I got to dig really deep and get rid of a whole layer of the lawn. That might be too much of work for me. And after that i might still need to apply pesticide in order to ensure those hidden ones are killed? I'm not sure... By the way, whose holes were seen in late May - early Jun. If they were recently discovered, it's more likely to be cicada killer's hole, which really look alike. Sorry that I didn't specify the date
