gas pipe support

The black iron pipe comes down from the ceiling. It is supported at the ceiling and drops down 7' before connecting the the appliance connector. There is no support for the piping at the bottom and it moves around easily.

Is there any supporting documentation or code language that says this installation is not correct? I've been looking for a while but haven't quite nailed it.

Shouldn't there be support at the pipe end?
