I think it's a utility thing. My utility (and yours too, probably) requires the weatherhead to be 24" above the roof.

Go online, find your utility and download their "Electrical Service Requirements" document.

Hi Rob,

Per the NEC, not for the mast - only for the conductors. As Jim said, the mast height will be spec'd by the service provider.
