Exterior Rated LVL's?

Anyone ever seen one? This was holding up a roof/pergola on a custom home. I was under the impression having them outside was a no-no.

The best I can find from iLevel is they make "some" models that can be used outdoors.

LVL is available for exterior use and in some situtations even for ground contact use. BUT it depends on your application whether LVL will meet your exterior needs.

American Pole & Timber distributes pressure-treated LVL.

ilevel, trus joist & microllam are all Weyerhaeuser brands.

I don't think Weyerhaeuser has an LVL for exterior exposure. Their product for outdoors is a preservative treated PSL (parallam).

I've tried to call them all afternoon and never could get a person.

I have to wonder with it being painted, and under the roof, would it actually work with little to no issue's? It's been two years and it still looks new...
