Stephen Lagueux
As a deer hunter myself, I was in awe when I got into this room. 2 canadian records in this picture. Click to Enlarge 82.67?KB
AHI in AR
Not meaning to hijack the thread, but I came across a similar trophy room Friday. Actually, it was an outdoor shop with lots o' dead critter heads hanging on the wall. Not being a hunter, I didn't recognize most of them. But I am most curious about what the animal in the photo is. I suspect it didn't come from this continent, but that's strictly a guess. Who can enlighten me? Click to Enlarge 78.03 KB
kurt
A type of gazelle, although the facial markings might be a little off. There's a few dozen types.
Brandon Whitmore
Kevin, It's a Gemsbuck/Oryx. It's an antelope native to Southern Africa, but can be huntedshot at game farms in the US.
John Kogel
That oryx reminds of a billygoat that couldn't resist sticking his head through any hole in a wall or fence. Stephen, did you call for lag bolts to hold those heads up? []
David Meiland
Just curious, Brandon, how did you know that? Best I coulda done was to guess "gazelle".
