John Dirks Jr Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 I've not seen a pump like this before. Obviously there is no holding tank. It had a 3/4" copper discharge line that went up the wall to a PVC drain pipe. There was a manual switch and I saw no means of automatic activation. I guess you just flip the switch to empty the basin after the washing machine shuts off. It sucked the water out pretty fast. Have any of you seen this type before? Comments? Chad Fabry Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 Comments? Don't forget to drain the tubs between loads.

Neal Lewis Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 John, no internal pressure switch? Did you fill the tub up pretty high to see if it automatically activated?
John Dirks Jr Posted January 15, 2013 Author Report Posted January 15, 2013 John, no internal pressure switch? Did you fill the tub up pretty high to see if it automatically activated? I filled to about 3 or 4 inches. No automatic activation at that level.
Rob Amaral Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Yes... I've seen exactly that... I simply recommend that upgrade to a modern system for the obvious reasons..
