Exterior Smoke Detectors

I've never seen smoke detectors outside before.

This Chicago 8 flat had smoke/CO detectors in every inside room except the bathrooms. It was an old building. Nothing was hard wired. One unit's tiny living room had two smoke/CO detectors.

There were four smoke detectors outside at the back porch.
