Mike Lamb Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 What is this tiled detail at the roof called? Click to Enlarge 40.4 KB
Mike Lamb Posted October 18, 2012 Author Report Posted October 18, 2012 I was calling it mansard but wasn't sure if that was quite right. Shirley? your joking?
Bill Kibbel Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 It's called a mansard facade. Very common on row homes to conceal the low-slope roof behind.
Les Posted October 18, 2012 Report Posted October 18, 2012 Hey Bill, Does the mansard tile always go to a cap for it to be a facade? If it terminated at a vert wall, would you still call it a facade? I am trying to be serious, even 'tho Lamb may be joking.
