I just finished a 3000 mile loop through the West, Yellowstone, and parts thereabouts.

We passed fires all over the place; the one in Buffalo, WY is up to about 5000 acres, and they're just going to wait and hope the winter puts it out. I could see it from 100 miles away.

A couple fires in Montana, near Livingston, and taking out entire valleys.

Supposedly, WA has a few hundred fires going. It's a mess.

KM - How close to NE Montana did you get? My hometown is Plentywood and our farm (that I grew up on) was/is even a bit closer to Canada near a small community called: Outlook.

Not as close as I would have liked. We were more into WY and Bozeman/Livingston, and Yellowstone.

Beautiful, wonderful, religious experience type country. Growing up there must have been something special.
