rjohns29 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I am a looking to buy my first home and found a house I like. However, it looks like there are some major issues with the stone on the house. For example, the grout is gone is some places and the stone has fallen out in some places. Is this a serious issue, or a simple fix? Thanks for your help. Click to Enlarge 63.98 KB
Bill Kibbel Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Is that fake stone adhered to a concrete foundation?
rjohns29 Posted September 4, 2012 Author Report Posted September 4, 2012 Yes it is. Also there is a problem with some erosion under the concrete at the front of the house. I will take a picture and post it tomorrow.

The faux stone is basically just stuck in place via a mortar bed. The grout is more decrotive than functional.
