John Kogel Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 The left end could be a trap. I know that sounds kinda paranoid, but it's plumbing, right? []
Scottpat Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Did the home have a geothermal heat pump?
Denray Posted August 27, 2012 Author Report Posted August 27, 2012 No heat pump of any kind. It's a beater house used for college kids now. Just don't know about that drain with those down turned ends. It's plastic pipe so it's newer stuff. All galvanized supply.
Denray Posted August 27, 2012 Author Report Posted August 27, 2012 A trap you say? Well there is a laundry room above. That's it. Yeah John. That's a buried P-trap there at the upper end. Sheeesh. [:-paperba
John Kogel Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 If so, there is a vent problem as well, oh well, good enough for students..,
Denray Posted August 28, 2012 Author Report Posted August 28, 2012 It seems like the standpipes are pretty popular for not having the P-trap in the right place and no vent at all.
