Rob Amaral Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 I finally got to see "Blackhawk Down" the other nite (insomnia, one of the Turner network channels). Wow. What an awesome movie. Riveting as all heck. An amazing event, awesome courage and an awesome movie to commemorate those guys.. . I was floored.. Ridley Scott is an amazing director. I can't believe how well he pulled it off...
hausdok Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Yep, I watch it whenever it's on. I've probably seen it twenty times and I watched it twice in the past two weeks. Sit there in my living room with tears streaming down my cheeks every time and proud as hell to be a soldier and to have known and served with such men. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
DonTx Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 I agree, it's a very moving show. I've only seen it twice as my TV time get's less and less. I also feel the same way about Mel Gibsons "The Patriot". Send the wife shopping and pull out a box of Kleenex.
Rob Amaral Posted June 29, 2005 Author Report Posted June 29, 2005 This guy also directed "Alien", "Gladiator" and "Blade Runner"... all excellent movies.
