Robert Jones
Has anyone heard the term "vinylized synthetic" for roofing materials? I don't have any pics, it was a questioned asked to me. I can't recall ever hearing that term. It is a low sloped roof. "It looks like a vinyl type rolled roof that is painted to look like it has shingles". That's the description I received. Tom Raymond
That sounds like something an RE would write in the listing.
John Kogel
That sounds like something an RE would write in the listing. Yes, I've heard that, like "the deal hasn't been vinylized yet". []
kurt
Modified Bitumen is asphalt modified with "vinyl"...more accurately, Atactic Polypropylene. Sounds like some goofy RE listing. Since it's low slope, I'm guessing they're talking mod bit.
Bill Kibbel
There is a company that makes vinyl (PVC) roofing membranes with a product that has printing on the surface that looks like asphalt shingles. The company is Duro-(something).
kurt
Durolast. I didn't know they made a printed surface. That's probably it.
