Jim Morrison Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 My son Seamus, the only third generation home inspector I know of. Many of you already know this, but a guy who works with his son is one uniquely fortunate man. Jimmy
John Dirks Jr Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 Jim, Considering the way I've heard you talk about your father, I'll bet Seamus really looks up to you. A fine situation indeed. Stay safe out there.
Rob Amaral Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 That boy has a cool future.. and a cool Dad and Grandpop..Awesome Jim..
Steven Hockstein Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 That is great. I worked with my dad for many years and I am glad to have had the time working with him until he retired. Fortunately, he is still around and we can talk about the experiences we had while we worked together. Good Luck to your son in carrying on the family business!
davidlord Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Very cool. My son (12) aspires to be a home inspector like his Dad. I take him with me when I can (vacant house and such) and he makes for quite the assistant. Nice job Jim.
Tim Maxwell Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 My son has not been on an inspection with me yet. I have taught him house parts from my photos. He is very interested.
resqman Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 2 sons. One wants to be in Sales and the other Doctor. The "salesman" never met a stranger. The wannabe doctor is "wicked smart" according to his older brother. He has the apptitude and knowledge. He will make a better doctor. Salesman is in college now. The doctor has another couple years of high school. Honor roll student taking honors and AP classes. No sense wasting his smarts on home inspections when he could be making contributions to science.
John Kogel Posted July 8, 2012 Report Posted July 8, 2012 A "mini me" to do the leg work. It sounds ideal. Enjoy the time with your son, Jim
