Birds Nest in Gutter

I came across this old pic from Spring, 2007.

It's seems an odd place for a bird's nest but all I really know about birds is they fly into my picture window now and again.

There must have been a housing shortage and this one was homeless and squatting anywhere she could. Guess the recession hit everyone.

Bet as soon as a crow saw those eggs those chicks became lunch meat.

This was last year, outside my kitchen window. This year, there is a robin's nest in that rhododendron and a cardinal nest is about 8 feet away in a yew.
