AHI in AR Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 I found this cool nickel plated beauty on today's job. A circa 1913 foursquare being renovated had this neat little detail. The guy renovating the home said it was so encrusted in paint that he didn't realize it had writing on it until he soaked it in lacquer thinner. I found it to be a clever marketing detail...unless the toilet backs up and they want to know who to blame! This sort of thing may be common elsewhere, but it is unusual around here. John Kogel Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 The homeowner might want to contact Mr Lewandoski's family if they're still in the area. He could tell them his toilet's acting up and they owe him a new one. []
Tom Raymond Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 In rural America, if the Lewndowski family is still in the plumbing business they remember when Grandad stopped handing those out. They've also worked on that house often enough to remember where each of the clean outs are, even the one buried in the yard.
